Dear Mrs Barry and the sports camp team

It was so sad to watch the sport camp team bring in their bags and pillows waiting till they go to Tiritiri island. Also it was sad because Mr Ramklown, Mrs Barry, Mrs Ramklown And the other teachers had to leave. I hope you all have fun and also we hope you all the very best and we all can’t wait untill you all come back. While you are there we wish you all good luck and have a very fun trip.

Mussel Time

Written and Illustrated by John Hart

Today I was reading Mussel time it was written and illustrated by John Hart. I was learning

to identify and know why different text types are use.  This book was about three student from Oranga Primary school who was cooking up a mussel feast to welcome the new students who just joined their school. When they were cooking the mussels they added all the ingredients but they  were all worried because they thought the mussels were over cooked and they said if it was over cooked it will turn chewy and hard to eat. Then at the end when it was time for the new student to taste the mussels they were shie. When they took the mussels out they were surprised that it was cooked properly and they were happy.
