Mathletics

Today in maths I went on my mathletics. I did multiplying by 10, 100, 1000. It was easy because all you have to do is just add the zero to the number. When I was finished I got a perfect.

Muffin making - Demonstration

Here Alfonso is demonstrating muffin making to rooms 11 and 12. Our topic study is  What’s is in a muffin? He told us about a savoury muffins and sweet muffins. Alfonso also told us that we can put anything in the muffin such as: blueberries, cheese, bananas and other yummy ingredients.

Mental maths

In my maths class we do mental math. Mental math is a warm up we do in our maths class. I am not that good a mental maths because I sometimes don't know the answer to the sum. Next time I will try and learn my times table off by heart.

Sumdog - Dress down

For maths today I went on sumdog. The game I played was dress down. To play this game you have to click on the right answer and drag the dress on your person. The question they gave me was about fractions. I managed to answer all of the fractions correctly. I came second because I was too slow to answer the question. Next time I will try to come first.

Robin Williams

Robin Williams was famous for comedian and an actor. He entertained people and also made them laugh. I myself watched his movies as well. The movie I watched was Mrs Doubtfire, and also Old Dog. I also remembered one of his role in the movie Mrs Doubtfire. Mrs Doubtfire was one of my favourite movie because I like watching Robin Williams act funny when he plays the role of the grandma. On the 11th of August Robin Williams died in  Tiburon, California, United States. It was so sad when I heard that he died because Robin Williams had inspired me  many times  because of how funny he was and also because he was my favourite movie actor and I also wanted to be as funny as he was.

In this game I learned how to match the fraction picture with the number fraction. It was fun playing this game because it first started with the easy fraction and then went to the hard fraction. This game has really taught me so much about matching the fraction.

Commonwealth Games

                                                                                      

In the 2014 Commonwealth games, England was leading on top of the medal table because they won the total of 174 medals. New Zealand had 45 medals so they were in 6th place. If you divide 45 with the population that makes New Zealand come first in the medal/person ratio. So in my opinion, I think NZ did exceptionally well.

Today for maths class I had to go on this game. There were two parts of the game I didn't get to play the second part because I was to slow. For the first part it was easy. Next time I will try harder to play the second part.
