In this game you have to press space and aim the present in the chimney. This was easy because I kept on getting it in. I went up to level for and I have 620 points. Next time I will want to try and get higher score and level.

Verbs

In this game there is a sentence with a gap  that comes up and you have to fill that gap. Then there are snowflakes that pops up. When the snowflakes pop up there are words on it and you have to click on one that matches with the sentence. I think this was easy because I keep getting it right but for you to get it right you have to know your verbs. I knew my verbs that is why I kept on winning.

Memory Cards

In this game I had to pick a card and then a picture shows up and then I have to pick another card. If the card I pick matches with the picture then I get a point. I keep wining that is why I had the higher score. I think that this easy. I really enjoyed playing this game.

Today for maths I played sumdog. This game is called tower climb. In this game you have to click on the answer to the question and then you hop on the right answer and keep clicking on the right answer to get to the top. I came second because I was to slow to get to the top. Next time I will try to come first.

WALT: Use a protractor
In my maths class we learned about how to use the protractor to solve the answers to our worksheet. In this worksheet I had to use the protractor to find the answer to this worksheet. Then I have to tick it if it is correct but if its not then I don't have to tick it. I found this hard but I kept trying and I got some right.

Exponents

In this game I had pick a card and then answer the question that is on the card. The questions were evaluating exponents, equations with exponents, and exponents with fractional bases. Evaluating exponents was easy for me because I got it all right. I kept trying with the ones I didn't know and then I started to get better at it. I won 2400 points but I want to earn more.

My e-asttle result in reading was a 3A. I was so happy that I got this result but I still wanted to get a higher result. I think I need to try better and get a higher result and also try and focus more on my work.

In this game you have make the number that appears on the screen by adding or subtracting. This game was easy for me but I only went up to level three because I didn't have much time. Next time when I get a chance to play this game I will try hard to add up the answer as fast as I can and also try and go up to a higher level.

Tidy Numbers

WALT: To solve addition problems by first adding a tidy number and then subtracting a small number to compensate.

In week one I have been learning about tidy numbers. I think that solving tidy number problems is not that easy because sometimes I get stuck with some of the problem but I always try hard to solve it. The reason why we are learning about tidy numbers is because maybe when you grow up and have a job  you might have to solve maths problem you can use tidy numbers. I hope that next time I will be able to solve tidy number problems by myself.

Duffy Asembley

Today we had a Duffy assembly and our role model was Niva Retimanu. She is a Samoan radio announcer. Niva Retimanu told us a little bit about herself. She told us when she was young she couldn't read a book so her dad took her to the library and she began to read. Now that she has grown up she has over  500 books at her house and she made it clear "Its cool to read, it's cool to achieve".

Our topic study is about muffins and we had to make a story with it and change it into an ebook. I shared my ebook with Caris. She is from room 7. Caris was a good reader I didn’t have to help her when she was stuck.

Measuring

WALT: Measure everyday object.

I have been learning to measure everyday objects. I made a table and I had to list six objects. When I was finished  I had to estimate the measurement of the object. This has really taught me how to estimate everyday objects. Then we made a ruler but I didn't finished it. Next time I will try and finish my work.

Today in maths I went on my mathletics. I did multiplying by 10, 100, 1000. It was easy because all you have to do is just add the zero to the number. When I was finished I got a perfect.

Charater Study

Muffin making - Demonstration

Here Alfonso is demonstrating muffin making to rooms 11 and 12. Our topic study is  What’s is in a muffin? He told us about a savoury muffins and sweet muffins. Alfonso also told us that we can put anything in the muffin such as: blueberries, cheese, bananas and other yummy ingredients.

Mental maths

In my maths class we do mental math. Mental math is a warm up we do in our maths class. I am not that good a mental maths because I sometimes don't know the answer to the sum. Next time I will try and learn my times table off by heart.
